About The Data Science Summer School

The Data Science Summer School is a series of theoretical and practical workshops on the exciting methods and technologies currently employed by industry, government, and civil society to address the world's most complex problems today. It is organized by the Hertie School Data Science Lab with funding and support from the Hertie School and the Dieter Schwarz Foundation

Workshop Details

This hands-on introductory course is designed for beginners who want to start their journey in data science using Python. In just 4 hours, participants will learn the essential Python skills needed to work with data: from writing basic scripts to analyzing and visualizing real-world datasets. The course also introduces smart ways to use AI tools to accelerate learning, debug code, and explore new data science concepts. No prior experience required—just curiosity and a laptop!
